I studied Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Ferrara/Italy and got my M.Sc. in 1997. I started my carrier at Nokia Italy as Radio Network Planner, working on several roll-out and optimization projects for 2G and 3G networks in Italy and abroad. In 2006, I moved to Accanto Systems in Modena as Professional Services Manager, coordinating technical and project management activities for the deployment of monitoring systems for 3G, 4G, IMS and fixed network. In 2011, I joined the Huawei European Research Center in Munich as Principal Engineer, developing my expertise in 5G architecture design, NFV and application of SDN techniques.
I joined the Network Research Group at DOCOMO Euro-Labs in May, 2016 and am working on 5G core network standardization and cooperating with mobile network vendors for the design of future networks.
